I am a Brisbane-based mental health nurse using monochrome to find clarity in the shadows.
My artistic vision is calibrated by a life of contrast—from the challenges of ADHD and dyslexia to a formative period of homelessness in my youth. These experiences forged a deep empathy that led to a decade-long career in mental health nursing, where I learned to find a quiet space of inner strength even in the darkest moments. Today, that same empathy guides my lens.
By stripping away the distraction of color, I expose the visceral connection between the city’s rigid architecture and the quiet dignity of the people within it. I am no longer just an observer; I am a documentarian of resilience. My commitment to shattering silence and confronting stigma is reflected in a dedication to technical excellence, producing museum-quality work for galleries, collectors, and professional environments. Ultimately, these photographs are a vital conversation—an unfiltered window into lives often unseen, revealing the beauty and spirit within Brisbane’s depths.
