Unseen Patterns: Vol I

This collection is a visual dialogue between the silent, geometric forms that shape our urban world and the human narratives that exist within them. Through a series of square cropped images, Unseen Patterns explores the invisible structures of our city, from repeating architectural rhythms to the often-overlooked textures of our environment. These abstract forms serve as a metaphorical lens, inviting us to contemplate the broader systems that govern our lives.

The other half of this project is a collection of full-body portraits of individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Captured with dignity and respect, these images are not merely a documentation of their circumstance but a recognition of their unwavering presence and resilience. By pairing these portraits with the abstract patterns, the project forges a profound connection, revealing how people's lives are deeply interwoven with the very fabric of the city they inhabit.

Ultimately, Unseen Patterns is an invitation to shift perspective. It challenges us to look beyond the surface of what we see, encouraging us to find the humanity within the city’s patterns and to recognise the patterns that shape our shared humanity. This collection seeks to find meaning in the quiet spaces, encouraging the viewer to acknowledge the often-unseen stories that reside all around us.
